Due to an investors’ friendly legal and tax environment as well as a high quality service sector Cyprus has established itself as an international business centre, with an ever growing number of international businesses choosing it for setting up branches and subsidiaries, but mainly for setting up holding companies.

Cyprus is part of the EU since 1 May 2004 and part of the EMU (Eurozone) since 1 January 2008. It has excellent infrastructure for transport and telecommunications and it is easily accessible since there are regular flight connections with all major European airports.
